Lightspeed Retail X-Series analytics

Find trapped cash across every active Lightspeed outlet.

CMP connects to Lightspeed Retail X-Series—formerly Vend—and combines active outlets, inventory, and completed sales into a read-only inventory diagnostic.

Read-only by design

Clear access boundaries before you connect.

CMP requests only the commerce data needed to build an inventory diagnostic. The connection is not a route back into your point of sale.

CMP reads

Evidence for inventory decisions

  • Retailer identity, active outlets, and registers
  • Products, variants, SKUs, prices, and status
  • Inventory aggregated across active outlets
  • Completed item-level sales and linked returns

CMP never writes

Your retail system stays under your control

  • Products, variants, prices, or product status
  • Inventory levels, transfers, or purchase orders
  • Sales, returns, customers, or registers
  • Unit costs or any Lightspeed account setting

Connection flow

From approval to an explainable inventory view.

  1. 01

    Confirm Retail X-Series

Use this connection if your Lightspeed Retail back office was formerly called Vend.

  2. 02

    Enter your store prefix

Paste the prefix or full .retail.lightspeed.app address shown by your X-Series store.

  3. 03

    Approve read-only access

Lightspeed shows the requested catalog, outlet, inventory, sales, and webhook permissions.

  4. 04

    Complete the cost template

CMP pre-fills real or stable synthetic SKUs so missing unit costs can be added without a write-capable scope.

How the data is handled

The important details, without the integration jargon.

01

Reliable recommendations require enough real history

CMP requests up to 366 days of completed sales and requires at least 120 usable days for the complete recovery analysis. Open, quote, layaway, and void sales are excluded. Linked returns are netted before positive quantities reach the diagnostic.

02

Costs stay inside CMP's read-only boundary

The Lightspeed X-Series product-read scope excludes unit costs. CMP does not request a write-capable cost permission. Instead, you download a prefilled template and upload costs to CMP; complete analysis requires coverage for at least half of stocked SKUs.

03

Every active outlet is included

CMP aggregates inventory across all active X-Series outlets and preserves the provider's retailer and outlet time-zone context instead of inventing one shared time zone.

04

Webhooks trigger a fresh read, not a blind update

Signed X-Series webhooks mark the connection stale. CMP re-fetches authoritative catalog, inventory, and sales data during a resumable sync because webhook delivery is a freshness signal, not the source of record.

Questions

Lightspeed integration FAQ

Need help with a specific store? Talk with the CMP team.

Which Lightspeed product connects directly to CMP?

The public CMP connection supports Lightspeed Retail X-Series, formerly Vend. Retail R-Series, Lightspeed eCom, and Lightspeed Restaurant use different APIs and are not included in this connection.

Why does Lightspeed require a cost upload?

The X-Series read-only product permission excludes unit costs. CMP uses a prefilled cost template instead of asking for a permission that could allow cost edits.

How much Lightspeed sales history does CMP use?

CMP requests up to 366 days of completed sales and needs at least 120 usable days for the complete recovery analysis. Shorter histories are identified clearly rather than treated as complete.

Is the Lightspeed connection generally available?

The Retail X-Series connection is live through a capacity-managed custom application and may pause new connections as provider authorization capacity fills.
